My little brother, Stephen, is not so little anymore. I am thankful I was able to photograph Stephen and Heather for their engagement at Cherokee Lake on the water.

Stephen and Heather had their engagement session done on the lake in Talbott, Tennessee just a few minutes from our moms house, which ended up being a gorgeous location. Logistically, we struggled a bit due to summer thunderstorms but we decided on the Tuesday after Fourth of July and just barely made it out of the session before lightning and thunder! I changed locations last second because of storms and I am so glad because this location gave us so much more than I expected. We arrived on location just as the wind was picking up and clouds were rolling in. Regardless of the impending storms, the gallery is stunning.

I loved being able to see them giggle when I stepped away and said to Heather "whisper something in his ear to make him laugh" while photographing this session. I have no idea what she said but it worked. There was lots of laughter and negotiating, haha! I love guiding couples through movement and poses to create a natural flow through galleries. The aesthetic of this gallery is beautifully soothing and neutral.

The wedding is in October of 2023 and I cant wait to see it all come together. From the color scheme they chose to the venue, it is going to be unbelievably quaint and elegant.

Heather, welcome to the family! Stephen, I love you and congratulations!
